99.9% silver - you can buy silver wire but that seemed to me rather expensive this is a less expensive alternative to by minted bullion bars

Power supply - 7 - 12 volts DC, I used an old one from a PC, you can use a car battery or something similar, the amperage should be no more than 5 Amps (higher voltage and amperage does not seem to make a difference in this process and might be dangerous)
